About IBHS
Our goal is to make a lasting impact on the way people think and act. At IBHS, young talents work toward the future and are trained to become leaders who forge their own paths. Young talents grow into strong, knowledgeable professionals and entrepreneurs ready to help change the world.
Within our accredited curriculum, we place a strong emphasis on practical experience. We bridge the gap between education and the business world. Our focus is on practical application, with business as our starting point. Every day, entrepreneurs and professionals share their real-world experiences. We visit more than 40 companies each year as part of our “Business Experiences.” Every year, there is a Business Trip and an internship. This makes studying at IBHS-Amsterdam Hbo Business School challenging, relevant, and fun. Our intrinsically motivated students are talented and eager to learn. They choose to invest extra effort in their future. By engaging more intensively with their studies, our students aim to be able to contribute more in the future. The broad business administration program, their backgrounds, and their networks make our students attractive to companies.

Our mission is to make a lasting impact on how people think and act. IBHS-Amsterdam Hbo Business School is not the final stop in our students’ development. We equip them with skills that will serve them for the rest of their lives. We help our talented students grow into strong, knowledgeable entrepreneurs and professionals, ready to help change the world. Our motto is New Thinking! The world is changing at an ever-faster pace. This calls for different skills, a different approach, and a different way of thinking. Entrepreneurship, creativity, innovative thinking, an international mindset, tech savvy, ambition, and analytical skills will be crucial. These are mutually reinforcing skills that are essential for every student to recognize opportunities and think in terms of possibilities. They enhance creativity, a focus on action, and innovative investigative skills. IBHS aims to support students in their learning, development, and transformation processes. The world is changing rapidly—even at an exponential pace—and challenges are becoming increasingly complex, making old solutions less effective or even counterproductive. We need a different approach. In this evolutionary leap, learning, creativity, and innovation are needed to create a safe and socially just future that places a responsible burden on the ecological system. IBHS aims to contribute to this by bringing learning closer to the workplace; by making new, proven knowledge and skills available; and by fostering contemporary skills and providing innovative learning methods. We want to bring out the best in our students and therefore help them discover their talents, optimize their learning styles, and find their own passions. They develop both personally and professionally, enabling them to make a positive and lasting impact.
Our Focus
The student and his or her growth are at the heart of what we do. We offer intensive professional coaching with daily personal contact. It’s all about helping you with your studies, assignments, and exams, as well as your personal development—with the support of experienced coaches from the business world. They help you get the most out of yourself, set goals, overcome fears, and discover and nurture your talents and passions. This way, you’ll study with a clear purpose, guidance, and support right from the start! We set ourselves apart by viewing our students as young talents who come to us to work on their future. This vision is reflected in many aspects of our school, such as the teachers’ approach and the content of our lessons. IBHS is a school where our students quickly feel at home. There is a pleasant, safe atmosphere; the students are making rapid progress, and we offer highly practical and applied education. Our students deliberately choose IBHS for its small-scale, personalized education. In addition to the quality of education, it is important to us to also coach our students in their personal development to better prepare them for a future in the business world.
